Ivar Mjells creative scope takes place in many areas. But his main work is to translate product and service ideas, into posters and covers - so cleverly that they catch the eye and capture the subject perfectly. His style is marked by a sensitive combination of product, technique and natural ambience - the motive comes alive through a power, which seems to radiate from the lighted object. Colours and positioning of the subject communicate the feeling of warmth - only seldom do his shot convey coolness. Of course this is why lighting is so important in them. Whether in the studio or outdoors, the right lighting is a vital factor in the believability of the photographic arrangement.
